can i ask when u put the housing in the oven what did you set it on? Did you straight up put it on the grills. I don't want to put mine in and find out theres melted grill marks on my lenses.

 

I placed them on a towel on top of a cookie sheet. Did 200 degrees for maybe 10 minutes. I pre-heated at 250 and threw the two halves back in for less than five when I put them back together to soften the glue again. Then ran more Permatex in the grove and put them back together. Make sure and clean the lenses before you place them in the oven just to be safe.

 

ya, i used i cookie shett and wrapper the headlight in tin foil. no burns. good idea with the towel though.
