weird tick
hello. I've been reading this forum for a while. I never signed up untill today. The last 3 days I've been trying to figure it out. I have a 2006 ram 1500 hemi 4x4, cai, flow master exhaust, superchip 3815, live in florida 54,000 miles. It only happens when on the gas. There is a very fast tick or rattle when it shifts at lower gear when your exhaust has a low rumble the fast tick or rattle gets louder.I thought at first it was a rocker just low on oil and at higher rpm it would go awa with the oil level rising but no. Do you think it might be a cat problem?

i have the same thing, didn't hear it till after i put my cai on, i've been told that its they egr valve that your are hearing through the intake, this is what the dealer told me when i brought it in so i'm guessing thats what it is because i don't notice any difference in performance since this has started.

Funny you say egr valve my light came on (check engine). My superchip told me egr flow high. I pulled it off and cleaned it with throttle cleaner and put it back on reset computer and it never came back on 5 days now but the tick did start a day after I cleaned it. What should I do I called auto zone they have the part # for aftermarket egr but dodge hasnt released permisson only 40.00 dodge where I have to go is 90.00 do you think it needs to be replaced?
I checked the exhaust and fittings looks ok. I have had the cai, and exhaust over a year and superchip for a month so its not the cai
