GOT CAUGHT BY POLICE!!!!
i always drive very conservatively in neighborhoods. today while en route to drop my kids off at track practice driving about 10mph in a 25 zone a little kis (about 3) came out from behind a school bus and almost into the road. could've been ugly. and no the bus didn't have flashing lights, it was parked along the road beside the field.
a funny story for ya. when i was in high school the principal got tired of students speeding down the road in front of the school so he called the police to have them sit out front the next morning. guess who was the first one busted that morning. yep, the principal.

Its not that everyone gets pissed.Everyone has different opinions on the subject. But C'mon, would you speed in YOUR neighborhood? On the freeway its a totally different story or a deserted road.I have sped before and paid my dues, but just because I did it doesn't mean I am going to encourage any one else to do it.

Since we are on the topic of grammar, does this quote seem ironic? Just wondering if I am the only one that picked it up. Just kiddin star by the way.

My father always told me that people think they're immortal until they're about 25 years old, or when they have a near-death experience. What's the point in speeding at all? ****, take it to the track where it's legal. Believe me, when I was younger, all I wanted to do was hit 100 MPH on the freeway, but honestly, what is an extra two seconds of your time? Somtimes, it's somebody's life.
I was a victim of road rage in 2004 when I was seventeen and a half because of someone who wouldn't slow down - even in the rain. And because of it, I lost my car and nearly lost my life.

I almost trashed my 2 weeks old 2008 Ram last week, and it would have been worth it.
A kid down the street smoked his tires pulling out on my street and headed out full throttle. I happened to be moving my truck at the time, so I pulled out in front of him. He managed to slip by me, but I slowed him down. I couldn't get his plate number.
I caught him coming back later, though, and we had a little talk. He apologized, and said he was wrong and knew it. We both calmed down, and I reminded him how many little ones live on our street, and how little they think about running across the street if they feel like it.
I have a six year old son. He loves to ride his pedal car down the driveway, and often I catch him in the street, even though we've tried numerous tactics (treats, threats, punishment) to keep him on the driveway. Our driveway is over 100 ft. long, so he has a little room to run, but the street seems to call to him and he forgets his promises. The neighbor across the street has 4 kids from 3 to 8 years old. Several others live on our street, which is a low traffic street that doesn't go anywhere. We try to keep our kids safe, and keep it safe for our kids.

I totally agree with AZHemiChk.
I smile with frustration when I read about people saying on here, that it's not OK to speed in the streets, but "OK on the freeway"???
What's that all about??
When terminal speeds are higher and the incident of being fatally injured increases exponentially with speed.............some people on here, need to check their driving skills, responsibilitiesand importantly ATTITUDES.
Having a driving license is not a right............it's a priviledge which can and should, be taken away when somebody drives dangerously. That includes speeding anywhere on public roads.
There is just not enough space on public roads to run off onto a nice grass verge, or gravel trap, as on a circuit. There's always either people in other cars that will die, or kids in the roador street furniture such as lamposts and signposts and one of the most deadly things to line our roads..........trees.
Just ask AZHemiChkabout how they felt in that smash?
I'm a paramedic here in the UK picking up the piecesand do this sort of stuff unfortunately, all too often, for a living.
Picking up pieces of people isn't funny and makes a person, come to terms with just how fragile life is!
Speed is ALWAYS the culprit. No excuses at all, except when equipment failure is to blame which is rare.
I admit, I too have driven fast in the past but, this post is not a rant, rather someone giving some professional advise who's in a position to "tell it how it is" so youngsters and advanced drivers, will drive more responsibly. Me included.
Can anyone know what it's like to kill a person due to their stupidy and then, and this is the crux of it, live with that for the rest of their lives????
I'd personally find that mind boggling to come to terms with, if ever I could????
I have personally explained to several families now, that their loved one/s have now passed away.
It's both humbling and excruciating, to see the pain in their faces.
All for 2 seconds of Yeeehaa........................
Go to a circuit/raceway my friends.
