Default 6.1 hemi exhaust manifolds..

I live in california so I can't put on LT headers...anyone put used/new 6.1 manifolds on instead of shortie headers? Was there any gain?

I figure the gain between shorties and 6.1 manifolds is about the same...might as well go with the cheapest one. There has to be a SRT-8 owner selling a pair somewhere.

I never considered this before, I was gonna get some shorties on my truck but now I got something else to think about haha. I live in Cali too so LT's are out for me as well. How much would the 6.1 manifolds set you back?

the exhaust ports wont match; would have to pull the heads and have the exhaust ports opened up so they flow correctly, and if I remember right they need modified to fit on a truck (suspention or something interfeared with them)

I just went and researched this a little...The passenger side manifold hits the frame, and on the driverside the manifold would run into the steering linkage
