will a bad balljoint cause the whole truck to shake and vibrate or is there another problem?

 

i've never seen a ball joint do that....had a couple where the steering wheel had a little vibration to it but never the whole truck....try checking wheel weights, driveshaft weights, bent wheel

 

you had the death wobble look it up lots on it good luck

 

ya well my tires were over pressured so the belts spread, that that causes a wobble in the truck. and i think my wheels kicked some weights, and the ball joints....all that together i believe leads to that crazy shake lol. im pretty sure the driveshaft is ok though. when i fix the above problems and it still has a problem then ill have someone look at the driveshaft

 

So you've got out out of balance, out of round tires. And your looking at the ball joints before fixing those issues first, why???[&:]

Tkae care of the KNOWN issues first, then go from there...

 

haha....ya hammer, out of balance out of round tires...well i dont want to put out $1500 in tires and have them wear because of ****ty ball joints. im just gonna do the driver side upper ball joint because thats the onle 1 thats bad. when you lift the tire theres play up and down...bad. then the the new tires with balancing/mounting/aligning/camber&caster. and then some shocks all the way around. rancho rs9000xl. im bringing it to a guy to see what shocks i need, because i need longer shocks and i cant find them anywhere. i was also thinking about a 1" add a leaf.
