Go with the 10's. Why don't you make your own box, and save some money? I made mine for about $30. You can see a pic of it in my gallery.

that fox box is awesome! I have the dual 10 box and I could not be happier. a lot less hassle than constructing your own box.

The size of your sub depends on your goals. I like my bass punchy, and I listen to a lot of rock, so i went with 10's.

Nice job on the box Peddler. I built one for a 10 under my front passenger seat on a QC.

I've had a single 10" Kicker and 2 sets of 2 12" Infinity subs. I can't really compare to much since it was 1 10" vs 2 12"s. I like the 12"s a whole lot better though. The 10" sounded good and tight so maybe better for rock. IDK I like both. It however didn't hit anywhere near as hard. The 12"s hit hard and still clear. IMO I just like them better. The 10" is okay though if you don't want to rock the car 3 cars over. The 12's I keep the amp gain turned down most of the time.
They imo just sound better.

Anyway I like Kicker subs a lot. Infinity also makes some good sounding subs at a cheap price. JL is another brand thats really popular and pretty good. I'm not a fan of them too much though as I've yet to hear a buddys setup that I thought sounded better than my Infinity setup and they all have way more money into them than I do.

I like Polk Audio speakers a lot too but not sure about how their subs are.

The ones I'd stay away from are Sony Xplods, Audiobahns, and pretty much any cheap walmart knock off brand.
