I have an 08 reg cab V6 and i wanted to make it sound better, u know kinda like the power soundmade bya big V8. I put on a Flowmaster 40 series muffler and it sounds great...rumbles a lot! I alsoordered a chrome cold air intake from ebay cuz i heard they also make yo enginehave a deeper sound.Wat else is there dat i could get??? Plz no $3000 superchargers.i got not much $.

 

take off the resonators on your exhaust.

 

I think that would be more ofa raw sound. I am really looking for a mean get-out-of-my-way type sound. RAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something like that xcept in a truck. lol

 

OK then... I dont see the sound that your looking for coming from a V6. I have yet to hear a V6 that sounded like a hearty V8 with just the change of a muffler or exhaust mod.

 

hmmm... res is the only way dude. the only ways i can think of is exhaust and cai. and NO RES ON THE EXHAUST!!!!!! lol. itll be RAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol.

 

+1. Esecially from a small 3.7L v6. Now if it's a 4.3 chevy, that's another story. They sound like a v8 when you add a flowmaster.

 

There's no replacement for displacement, thats what my pops always said. I would say that nothing, pretty much, will make it sound mean like the 5.7. just my advice. Spend money on headers, exhaust, intake, etc...It could equal a down payment for a different truck. I only know cauze I was in the same boat, so I took the 2004 offered to me on the lot with the hemi in it!
