Anyone know how to remove the stock exhaust on an 08 Ram 1500 QCBig Horn 5.7L HEMI 2wd???

I have a Gibson Single Side Exhaust coming in and appreciate all tips & tricks on the removal of the stock exhaust and any info on installing the Gibson...

um, hack saw?

 

um idk if its the same as the 07...but i removed mine by myself. you gotta tap out the hangers from the rubber things and unbolt the muffler. gotta pull hard ha. took about an hr ish

You dont need a hacksaw. It shoud be new enough to pull appart. Loosen the clamps, wiggle it off. Mine came right off.

 

i took mine off its an '05 just got it in feb and took it off in march, came off in about 30 mins just use liquid wrench.. good luck

 

Crawl under awhile before you actually intend to do it. Spray every fastener (like the clamps) liberally with WD40 or some sort of penetrating oil. Then stand by to do lots of wiggling and yanking.

 

on an 08 you won't need to PB blast it, just unbolt and wiggle
