amongst numerous other problems with my 06 ram,
the brakes were completely replaced on my truck,
from stuck caliper--and started shimmying fairly bad
after--and they denied fixing the problem after
becauase the truck was then past 12k miles,
Horse Sh-t-
they also commented(dealer) that chrysler does not want to fix or touch
anything else on the truck until the lemon law/buyback situation is figured
out
I hope chrysler goes bankrupt and out of business-- with the way they handle
problems and treat their customers

RE: warped rotors again, less than 1000 miles this time
My first set on the rear had deep grooves in them at 1800 miles ..The dealer said that this is normal wear. Then at 2500 miles the front did the same thing. Then the third time I took it back at 3,,000 miles I told them that when I hit my brakes the steering wheel would shake .They said the rotors were 35 % out of round and replaced them .Ever 4,000 miles or so I tell them that the steering wheel shakes very badly and they replace the rotors. I asked the dealer what was causing this problem and they said that Chrysler uses only the worst parts on all there new trucks.

RE: warped rotors again, less than 1000 miles this time
well this is what i requested they do the first time and it only took 3 visits before they finally did it...
TSB 02-001-07 REV. A
While i think my rotors are not great after a short period of time, the bushings that were replaced in the lower control arms were definitely contributing to the shudder i was getting.
i would strongly suggest everyone to encourage their dealers to look at this if you are getting any shudder during stopping that may be mistaken for warped brakes.
i'll be checking the rotors a little more closely myself this weekend but the truck feels much better overall.

maybe you are riding the brakes and you dont know it.

no, i am pretty aware of my driving habits, even if i was riding the brakes the only thing that would make the rotors go after 1000 miles is the calipers and if i was driving down the himalyas for 1000 miles.
this suspension issue mimcs the feel of a warped rotor quite a bit
