Upon examining my Hoods Paint.....
OK, upon examining my hoods paint, i noticed a little white spot, approximately the size of a paper back book. I recently got the truck washed at a drive thru carwash, so i thought it was dust left over from when the guys hand dryed it with their towels...But upon rubbing with my fingers i discovered that, this was not the case...it appears that the paint is starting to wear away..
I mean you have to be kidding me!!!!! The truck is a 2002, and it's only 6 years old...to top that off i always get it washed and waxed, so why is this happening..

that sucks. it's not from something else maybe? maybe you had pareked in a really un-lucky spot and had a reflection off a mirror/maginifier zoomed at a spot? that sucks dude. i don't know.
maybe you wax the damn thing too much? i don't know how much it would take to actually wax paint off...prolly a couple, and i'm sure you haven't done it THAT much.

I've built a few carwashes, now I only build big truck washes.... but anyways....
Lots of carwashes have a dryer at the end where in old times a wheel went over your hood/roof etc. and later was just like an air mattress or other device. Even the hottest air is driven to the hood in specific areas.... check your roof to and see if anything matches up there....
Oh, and never use a carwash.....
