clear coat issues

Hey i have a 2006 qc sport. ON the driver' s side the trim pieces on the doors, i guess they are door protectors to stop buggeys and other cars from hitting your truck, the clear coat is coming off. anyone else have this problem? should this be covered under the extended warranty?
