Help on recalibrating the spedometer
I have an 05 ram 4x4 with the 4.7L in it. The truck now has 285x70x17 tires on it, which are just over 2in taller than the stock 245x70x17's. I know that my spedometer is off by a good amount because I have had people follow me and tell me what my acutual speed is. I have two questions. Is there a tuner out there for an 05 ram with the 4.7? I havent found one yet... the only thing close was a superchips microtuner for the 98-03 year rams.Am I correct by guessing that tuner won't work for my truck? My next question is what would my next option be after that? Take it back to a dodge dealer???

I know you should be able to find some sort of tuner for your year of truck that will allow you to calibrate your speedometer. Other than that there are some places that do service speedometers. Just take a look in the yellow pages or do a search online. That'll be cheaper than the dealer.

you should be able to take it to a shop an adjust it. i know the shop im going to has a recalibrator and they do it for free with the mounting and balancing. but if not, theres the tuner.

actually, thats a pretty high price. if it was up to me id spend a little more for the flashpaq tuner which tunes your truck and you can change the tire height with the flashpaq too.
