Default Power Steering Help

Hey everyone, Once again my truck is giving me trouble. Its a 2005 Dodge 1500 SLT. The problem is with my power steering.. Its doesnt really want to work unless im giving it gas. The fluid is good. When i try to turn i hear a binding sound kinda hard to explain. But when i give it some gas the power steering works fine. ?? Any ideas?

Default RE: Power Steering Help

First check your fluid. 05 rams and before had issues with the power steering return lines. they liked to leak. new revised lines are available. your steering seems to work fine when you give it gas, leading me to believe it may be your pump. the more gas you give it the faster the pump spins, thus the more pressure it gives. definitely check your fluid first.
