lowering the rear
I just bought the djm shackles and they are suppose to drop it around 2 inches from stylintrucks.com for 49 bucks. I checked around here and the shops want about 100 bucks for a 30 min job. I am going to try it myself, from what everyone says it is really easy. Another way to get it a little lower is to use U-bolts (10 bucks each) on the rear springs and tighten them down so you don't have to remove the overload spring but it does make the ride stiffer. Anybody if I mis-spoke please correct me
, I am by no means a mechanic at all.

If you want the rear to sit level with the front this is what you need to do. I just did this all last weekend. Order a pair of lowering shackles, I have DJM shackles, those dropped my truck about an inch and a half. Install took around 45mins to and hour. All you need is a jack and a pair of jack stands, just make sure you get all the weight off the leaf springs before you take the bolt out. To get the truck lower, buy two sets of leaf spring clamps. These come in pairs and you can find them at any auto parts store about 10 bucks. Put two on each leaf spring on either side of the axle. That will get your truck about another half an inch, for a total of two inchs of drop which will make your truck pretty damn even with the front. Check out the pic of my truck. Not the best picture in the world, but if you see it in person you'll swear its level.
