A few of you guys have sent me links to the superchips page to help me increase the performance of my 05 Ram with the 4.7. I have recieved these two sites so far...

They say they work on the hemi, but do those work on the 2005 version of the4.7 too?

Hammer... you sent the top one to me. Do you know if that would work for the 05 ram with the 4.7?

 

Superchips only offers a tuner up to 2003 for the 4.7. The ones for Hemi won't work. You can either get a jet chip or an SCT programmer.

 

Do either one of them actually help that much? Ive had that same trouble, there are NO engine mods for the 4.7 other than a CAI

 

I've heard that SCT can make a big difference. They are expensive though. You can get 4.7 engine parts on www.airram.com

 

There are plenty of parts available for the 4.7L, including ported heads, turbo's, throttle bodies, cams, rods, pistons, PCM flashes, headers, cai's and Nitrous kits. Check out KRC.

I thought you were just looking to adjust the speedo for tire size, my bad. The link I sent you is for the TirePaq, which works on the 4.7

Horsey is spot on... KRC has some kick *** cams for the 4.7 that will really wake it up...

 

well what exactly would you suggest to do, im not looking to tear my engine open, im looking for more "bolt on" mods...

 

Through my own personal experience with the 4.7L, and the restrictions you mentioned about "NOT WANTING TO OPEN IT UP" you should look into: [ul][*]4.56 GEARS[*]ELECTRIC FAN[*]68.5MM THROTTLE BODY[*]HIGH FLOW INTAKE[*]HEADERS (GIBSON or JBA)[*]HIGH FLOW EXHAUST (HIGH FLOW "Y" 2.25Dual into SINGLE 3") into Single 3" High Flow muffler.[/ul]
RECOMMENDED FUTURE MODS [ul][*]H/O cams[*]SCT TUNE (NEED WIDE BAND DATA LOGGER FOR UNLIMITED INTERNET TUNING ABILITY'S)[/ul]This mod list should get you started... I'm sure there are more but these are the ones that came tot he top of my head.
