Ok. So I am looking around, asking for some estimates/quotes for a paint job in the not too distantfuture. I have an idea for a stripe going from front bumper over a ramairhood.com hood(but not over the scoops, only in between them) over the top and down the tail gate. I am thinking a gray main color with a silver/blue candy stripe. Not sure though and this would raise the costs dramatically...... However, just the stripe in candy would be way different from anyone else I have seen. Would the color combo work you think? Imagine the stock dark gray with candy blue????

I could always do the whole vinyl matte black or brushed aluminum stripe. Cheap and decent looking.....


Also, what do you guys think of doing a ram graphic in the rhino lining? I know you can place a cardboard cutout in your bed and after it is sprayed it turns out as just a raised area. I was thinking of doing a stylized ram....... maybe color just this portion.... hmmmm

Yea im not so much for the race stripe. Its a truck not a car

 

I guess id think about maybe getting the stock paint, adding a shot of black to darken it up or white to lighten it up just a little then the grille bezel, hood and tailgate. A subtle change that might look pretty cool and different from anyone else.

 

Took mine to a buddies paint shop yesterday. Decided to mix a color ourselves so it be an origianal.
What do y'all think?

hammer,that purple is ok if you deliver flowers or work for mary kay cosmetics.

i like the stripe. its different from everyone else.

 

I think you shouldnt park in front of the fire lane....

 

If you do that. make sure you paint that chrome bumper black. Or get a sports one. But that chrome doesn't look good. It would look pretty bad *** like that I think.

 

LOL, I was playing with Photoshop a while back. I don't know why the thumbnail shows it in it's real color when the image is purple,a glitch I guess...

 

thanks for the suggestions. The guy in the shop has an idea he wants to test out on a hood he has lying around to see how it comes out...... I amkinda scared when a painter starts saying "let me try something". I think I need to keep looking. Anyoneknow a good but not too pricey shop in Dallas?
