free way to gain a few inches
i read that you can increase your lift in the fron by adjusting the torsion bar. does anyone know if the 2004 rams have these. some trucks dont even have them.
if your 04 is 4x4, then yes, it has them. they are the rods that connect the lower arms to a bracket that's under the front doors. you'll see a bolt sticking down (it's actually facing up, the head is what's sticking down) on each side of the truck.
just block the rear tires, jack up the front, and give each bolt a few turns...more turns = more lift. it will ride a little stiffer afterwards...but you'll get used to it and won't even notice it

Do a search on here, there a dozens of posts about how to do it. Yes, it's a free way to gain up to about 2" of height in the front, and the only sacrifice is that it stiffens the ride a bit. You should also have an alignment done after you do it...
