Quiet dual-outlet muffler?
Considering adding an aftermarket muffler/exhaust to help out with the mpg's, since so many of you claim that it really does help. My plan is to go with a single-in, dual out muffler with two rear-facing tips sitting under the passenger side of the rear bumper, a la SRT-10.
Would I really benefit from a catback exhaust or will a new muffler with oulet piping suffice?
The most important thing is to keep the exhaust quiet as possible. I already have a loud old BMW and a very-loud 12v Cummins...need a quiet daily-driver to keep the neighbors happy. Any ideas on a good muffler?

I personally run a magnaflow muffler. A bit louder than i care for. Ive heard the flowmaster 50 series is a bit quieter yet more restrictive, but then again sound/noise is relative.
I've got the Magnaflow also..... quiet rumble at idle, nice conservative growl at normal acceleration, and it roars when I punch it.... really roars after putting the CAI on it.
Magnaflow would probablybe too loud for my purposes. I'd really like a freer-flowing, stock sounding exhaust, but am willing to put up with a little additional sound.
I got the 50HD and it is pretty good on sound. I can talk on the cell phone and take long trips as long as the rpms are around the 2000 area. Now when you get into it is a different story, it has a nice sound to it.
My magnaflow doesnt bother my neighbors. Its got a nice sound to it overall but it sounds louder inside than out. I dont think youd lose with either magnaflow or a flowmaster 50HD. However, from what i gather i think the flowmaster 50HD is a bit quieter.
