Hemi throttle body problems
hey guys, new to the forum.... I recently purchased a 2004 ram qc 4x4 with a hemi. I got back from the dealer ship today with bad news.... They say that my throttle body needs to be replaced, Price $340 without labor. I need to know where i can find a throttle body for my truck... Do u guys know where i can find one? any help appreciated. thanks
What brought it on -- why did you take it in to begin with? Throttle bodies are typically a "lifetime" type component. The drive-by-wire throttle motor may have issues but the rest is pretty much just a hunk of metal.
its probably the throttlepositioning sensor, the throttle body itself doesnt go bad. the sensor is only 106.00. dont let them screw you with labor costs. like he said, its just a hunk of metal, if your throttle has become irratic, up and down while at a stop sign or idling then it is the sensor
