Default gears for 4.7

I have a 2005 with a 4.7 i put 22" wheels on it and i want to know if gears will help my gas millage and pick up? If so what gears should I go to?

The best thing you can do for acceleration and gas mileage is to ditch the 22" wheels and put on some 17's...

ditch the tires, i have a 2005 dakota with the 4.7 and went with 20 inch and lost about 65-70 miles to a tank of gas. awhile ago i switched out my 3.55 for the 4.10 for towing and racing purposes and with the larger tires it seemed like my gear ratio was lower then 3.55 again. put the factory rims and tires back on and away we went. truck looked really nice with the 20's but mileage was killing me
