Default Multiple batteries w/isolator ???

I would like to do this on our 08' PowerWagon but don't know if it will cause problems with the computer or warning/idiot lights. I have read that people have had problems when trying to add things into electrical systems. I would have to dissconect the power from the alternator to battery- so it went from alternator to isolator to battery. I would like to use a 3 battery setup- 2 aux & 1 vehicle. I plan to use an inverter of 2-3000 watts continuous so i can use big power tools in remote places without the hassel of the generator-gas-etc... Any help would be great.

I don't see how it would cause a problem. Try just idling the truck with jumpers on a 2nd battery. If it doesn't throw anything off, you'll be fine with the isolator. I've used them in boats for years.
