Fun six speed manual=LS1 FBody. You can pick up a used one rather cheap and if you can keep your foot out of it can get "decent" mileage. Actually compared to the truck excellent mileage. But horrible compared to a Kia

Plus, the aftermarket world is very large, easy and "somewhat" cheap to mod.

Keep us up to date. I for one would like to see the new ride.

F-Bodies FTW!!

You can also get a little older one (93-98) with the LT1, they also came with the T56 6spd.

I had 2 LT1's, but the LS1 is superior, and of course newer, which is good if it is going to be your DD.

Well no doubt, but the LT1's are loads cheaper and more plentiful, not to mention a little cheaper to mod since it is still basically a SBC

I don't agree with that....a 6-speed ls1 with the stock 3.42's will get 25+ easy on the freeway. That's about what the 350Z gets so a heavier G35 might be a little worse or the same depending on gearing. My 2000 bolt-on auto Z28 was getting 23+ with the stock 3.23 gears..
