seam on my drivers door is rusting...
This is not normal, even for a dodge ...
looking at the open door from the drivers seat, lower left cornor, two seams, side and bottom are pressed togethier, I was surprised to see rust, not rust residue but pited rust spots.
06 ram reg cab 2500....
My only complaint with this truck has and will be the poor paint quality and body asembly, but othier wise, my rig is awsome, Now to get play the warenty game, I assume dodge only covers rusted out body panels and not rusty body panels...
It all depends on your dealer. Some years back, I had a similar problem with a Linclon. The dealer took care of it under the standard bumper to bumper warrantee. We use a lot of salt here in the hills of Jersey, but I feel for you guys up north.
I used to be a loyal Ford owner, Thiers no doubt Ford has better paint and body work, I'm sure dodge will improve with this, Dodge has come a long way with thier trucks, were as Ford is slipping with real time relability.
I have custom scratchs and little oh no's that I added to my truck, nothing major ( work truck ) I do plan fixing this threw a dealers body shop, Now I will see if the seam can be adressed under warenty, If not thiers no point in spending the coin to keep up a Rusty truck.
Othier wise, this is the best truck to date I have owned, it has never quit on me, never questions the work I put her threw and I faithfuly keep up the maintance.
And no Brand is 100% perfect, I use to view Fords as the cat's ***, how ever cats do spend time in the litter box.
