This is my first post, dont flame me lol. Anyway, I am looking into gettin a 07 Ram 2wd with a 5.7 and need some advice. Would it be possible to make at least380 HP at the crank on a 800 dollar budget? With 345 stock Im sure I can gain 40 hp or more without much problem. Im thinkin a CAI, Programmer/Custom Tune and a header/true dual setup will get me there. Anyone have any ideas?

That should get you there easily. Exhuast and CAI could put u close to that and the tuner should put you over that.

 

well it's possible, but you're gonna be searchin to find the cheapest deals possible...LT headers are gonna be the way to go and they aren't cheap by any means, prolly spend at least half ur money just for headers (depending on what brand u get and where u buy em from) then add in the cost of the exhaust, intake and programmer...you're gonna be pushin that $800 i think...progammer will cost ya around $200 if you can find one used and unlocked, CAI (depending on what route you go, anywhere from $30 to $300)...might wanna up ur budget to about $1000, but thats just my opinion

 

Yeah, Im wanting to leave some cash for my wheels and lowering kit if I can. What kind of gains does the SRT10 Ram hood with the ram air give you? Thats the hood Im probably going to go with anyway.
