Gotta love the PO 406 code. egr flow sensor A circuit high input reading. I can only get this part from the dealer $65 bucks.

 

Did you get a new EGR valve yet?

 

Yeah, there is a DIY write up on how to change it, its pretty easy. Just search "EGR Valve Replacement" in the DIY section. Did you get the part yet? Make sure you get BOTH gaskets

 

I got mine from Parts/Service (moderator) for $53 delivered to my house.

 

I didnt get the new egr valve yet.

I got the same code about six months ago. I took the EGR off the engine and cleaned it out with carb cleaner. Hasn't given me any codes since. But just in case I ordered one from AutoPartsGiant.com for 37.00 (part#EGR1586, Borg Warner). Hope this helps.
