Has anyone put a cat back exhaust on a 2007 ram 2500 hemi? I would like to put on a magnaflow, but they only show for the 1500. I don't think there is a difference, but I also don't want to be stuck with an exhaust that I can't use. Has anyone tried to put one on and how was the sound? Or am I S.O.L?

 

I have a 06 2500, and i have duals, ie cat back, a hemi's a hemi, what ever fits a 1500 ram will fit a 2500, ex pipe is the same size, 2500's don't have the resonater, bodys are the same, unless mega cab, but any mufler shop can fab up a kit.

Removing the Y pipe is a must, I'm running a dynomax ultra flow.

 

I just did a dual Cherrybomb Vortex system. 1500 HEMIwill fit a 2500 Hemi.2500/3500 HEMIssounds awsome without the MDS messing up the exhaust sound. You will love it.

I know. When things slow down I am going to get a good sound clip of the Vortex.

As far as the cat back goes, the 2500 is close enough to a 1500 that any decent shop could install it. Maybe adding or moving a hangar at the most. Now from the cats forward, that's a whole 'nuther story. You've got a solid axle, coils, etc. in the way. I've not found a company yet be able to make LT or even decent mid tube headers for a 2500. Nobody's headers for a 1500 come even close to fitting...
