Hello everyone, sorry if this Q has been asked already, I have an 04 Ram 1500 Q/C 4X4 AWD Hemi Leramie auto trans, I have looked all over the internet and through pro comp and fabtech books and can't seem to find a suspension system that works with the AWD, im looking for at least a 6" lift, the only differenceI can think of there being is in the transfer case?? anyways hopefully someone elce has ran into the same problem?? guessI should have done some better research before buying! Thanks for your help!

 

they have lift kits all over the place for 4x4s. they got them on ebay and another good place to look would be on topguncustomz.com they are verry helpfull and will walk you through anything you need.

 

I didn't want a AWD when I was shopping for my '04 back in the summer of '04. I didn't know about the problems findinga lift kit, I just simply wanted a good old fashion "stick" for my 4WD. Was like pulling teeth finding the Laramie for the leather seats I wanted that wasn't AWD. Of course, if I knew then what I know now, I'd have jumped on one of the many 2500 4x4's I looked at for that all important solid front axle. But at the time, even though a 1500 Hemi Laramie 4x4 stickered for about the same as a 2500 Hemi SLT 4x4, the 1500's had $5k in rebates that the 2500 didn't.

Back to your issue. It seems that even if they don't say it in the ad, most (if not all) of the lift kits for an '04 4x4 state they will not work with the AWD trucks. If you find one that doesn't say it won't work, you may want to specifically ask the manufacturer before you actually buy it...
