My 08 hemi has a 1.5" lift on the front and that is still slightly raked on the front but not enough that you can really tell. If you go any higher than that you will have to replace the control arms which is starting to enpensive. Even at a 1.5" lift I had to replace the shocks the rearend is still stock lift. I put 315/55/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers and this thing looks pretty bad*ss. Its1.18" wider than stock and .22" taller than stock. I need to put a picture up ofmy truck so you can see what I'm talking about.

To hold down the expense, look for a level kit that comes with shock relocation brackets, allowing you to retain your stock shocks. Might cost a few dollars more for the kit, but will cost you much less in the long run...

315 55 20 is 33.6" x 12.4" vs the stock 33" x 10.8 inch
how long were you rolling on the stockers? What kind of mpg decrease did you see?

If you screw up and get a 2.5 or higher lift and it sits too high you can always add a leaf to the rear or date a fat chick to weigh the front down.

I had the stocks on for about 100 miles and changed over to the 315/55/20s so i never really had a chance to see if there was a difference. But this breakin period is what i'm waiting for to end so I can get true numbers. As far as a fat chick ridin shotgun for levelin purposes my truck came with a minimum cabin weight allowance so I don't think it'll work, for me, personally anyways.

My '03 got a 2 1/2" level kit about six months ago. No issues with suspension components at all. Maybe the newer ones are different?
