Wheel spacers for everyday truck
I was wondering if i could put wheel spacers on my 03 dodge qc stock ram. This is strictly a highway truck , not for off roading. I hear that the lugs break off due to too muchforce on thembut was wondering if that was from off road stress. I am only going for the look. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
depends on the brand...I purchased some custom made ones and I mean HEAVY DUTY!!! they weighd like 5-6 lbs a piece vs those on ebay....I got good quality studs withem too....I've towed a farm tractor and trailer with mine with 36" on 20's....not a problem...but when u talk spacers go for the extra money and get sum good ones.....if u cant find any good ones let me know...I'll give u the number for this local shop here that can get them custom ones...I paid like 75 a peace for 1.25" 5x5.5.....
I just bought a set of SRT10 rims and want to install them on my 06 RAM 4x4. They came with the standard tires 305/40 22".
1. Is that the same size tires on you rims?
2. Did you use the spacers on all 4 wheels?
3.What brand of spacers did you use?
4. Where canI buy a set?
5. Have you had any adverse effects from the spcers?

I just put some 305-55-20 Terra Grapplers on my truck replacing the stock 265's and they are TIGHT with the front A arms and scrub a little when I turn hard over. I told the tire place about it and they basically said to let it scrub and try not to turn so tight. They told me that they were not even allowed to install ANY type of wheel spacers for fear of studs breaking. I asked another local truck accessory place and they gave me the same adivce.
I had mixed advice from certain dealers. The tire dealers seem to have stopped selling the spacers, but the custom wheel sellers are still selling them. I bought a set of 1/4" spacers, butI think thatI will only put them on the front hubs. It's no use stressing out the rear if I don't need to. thanks for the input.
