Default gears +lockers

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum. I own an '03 2500 4x4 Hemi 5 speed. The truck is used off road every day as I do concrete construction. I am also the president of an ATV club. The truck also pulls heavy (7-9k lb) trailers. I can't seem to find aftermarket gears (4.56/1) or lockers for it. My '99 had Dana 60s with lots of aftermarket availability. Why did they swap to AAM? The '99 had a Detroit in the rear and a Tru-Trac L/S in front, are these available for AAMs?
Thanks

Support for the 3/4 ton diffs have been slow in coming since Dahmler's dispute with Dana led to the susbsequent switch to AAM axles. If you strike out at 4 Wheel Parts, I know Randy's Ring & Pinion carries gears for both your front & rear axles.
Last time I checked on it for someone else, Detroit basically hadn't acknowledged the existance of your axles yet, although I do believe Yukon makes an aftermarket limited slip for your rear axle, again, Randy's I believe carries it. Hope this helps...

4wheelparts is the place to go for that kinda stuff. If they dont have it on the website, go talk to the guys in the nearest store to you and if they are anything like my guys here then they will find a way to hook you up.

As far as doing the actual install, consider yourself lucky if you have a 4 Wheel Parts in your area. They did an excellent job on mine. 12,000 miles later and never a hint of a whine!!!

This truck is soon to become a work only truck and as such, I was hoping for a real locker for the rear. A limited slip front would be good however. What was the dispute with Dana? Were they too good?
