man my truck started squeekin.
this is a HIGHLY ANOYING and EMBARASING squeek.
it's not that loud and i only hear it when im driving slowly thru parking lots.
so.. i think its in the suspension or somthing.
i took it to les schwab and had a front end inspection, and they said everything looks good besides my tire-rod end. (but i already knew that)

my 2 quick questions are:
could the squeeking be between the tire-rod end and the pitman arm?
and
if I spray wd-40 all over everything in the front end will it harm anything?

Ball Joints most likely one of the lowers. I replaced both of mine , but it is easy to check lift wheel off ground and have someone pry up on the tire while you are looking at the lower ball joint if it moves then it needs replaced. Check both sides these are weak links for . If you change yourself rent a press fron advance makes life so much easier.

Stand behind it.
Place hands firmly on your tailgate.
Start shaking.


That's where my squeak comes from.

 

i get that squeek too, i noticed it when i was in a parking structure whenever i would turn the wheel at all or hit little bumps, everyoens saying the balljoints for me too just havnt got around to looking at them
