EVAP System
a few months ago the check engine light came on and i found out it was a problem witht the "EVAP system; small leak"...so i tightened down the gas cap...got back in the truck and the light was off...awesome
well now its back on...checked it out again and its the "EVAP system; small leak" again...but this time, even after tightening the cap, it wont go off...any ideas?

Yep.
Look underneath your truck where the fuel tank is.
Next to it, there is the EVAP charcoal cannister assy.
Going into that, are several rubber hoses that are usually "dry rotted".
Either replace them with dealership hoses or a cheaper solution, is to get yourself a length a vaccum hose of the same inside/outside diameter and a set of hose clips for each end.
Replace all the hoses and clear your code, by either taking it to Autozone or do a PCM re-set.
This usually cures this.
I found my 03 Hemi hoses to be "dry rotted/cracked".
Replaced them and no more problems.
If this fails and your hoses do not show any signs of the above, repace the gas cap and retry.
Hope this helps?
