I just installed a brake contorller for trailer brakes in my 03 QC 4x4 4.7 auto. Or should i say i used the wrong wireing harness to begin with and crossed the wires. everything works fine now. (I haave already replaced the brake light switch) However I now have to push in the button on the controller to get out of park . any help will be greatly appreciated it makes a nice anti theft dvice but is quite a pain when in a hurry thanks

I can't offer any exact help but whatever you've done, it's keeping the ECU from seeing when you have pressed the brake pedal. Now it only sees the trailer brake controller's output.
