Does anyone know the step by step procedures required to replace the underhood lamp on an 04 Dodge Ram?

The whole assembly or the lamp?

 

Right now it's just the lamp as far as I know.

redram05baby has a thread how he installed one from scratch, his didnt come with it so he put a fog light in its place.

Ive never paid attention to the assembly, but I wouldn't imagine it would be difficult to replace the bulb.

Pretty easy, very first thing I had to fix on a 29,000 mile truck. Pry off lens. If lens is missing, even easier. Bulb is weird looking, its a glass tube with two rectangular hooks at the end. These fit on to two sprung pieces in the housing. I had trouble finding it when I first went looking for it. Any chain parts house should have it though.
