I have an 02 Ram 1500 5.9L V8. First issue, a few weeks ago the engine started hiccuping/skipping at random. Does it at city driving and/or highway speeds. Second issue, CEL been on for several months, no symptoms till now. CEL check at Autozone says P0106, PCM failure. I read on odbcodes.com that pcm failure has no symptoms, is that true? Are 2 issues related? Please help! Thanks.

 

Just replace PCM.

i am not sure about CEL.

 

by CEL I meant check engine light. Isn't replacing the PCM a pretty major thing? Would that be causing the skipping/hiccupping, or is that something else? thanks.
