Why would towing be so low?
I just went on Dodge.com and was looking at how much my truck could tow. I was surprised it was so little... 5500 LBS
Not that it really matters, i tow a car trailer and my 3000lb nova, so i'm under. But still...i would of figured it would be more beings dodge advertises a 9100lb towing rate for the 1500's.
Granted i have 4x4....and the 20's. But i figued the RCSB would be able to handle more beings its lighter.
Clue me in here guys....5500lbs of towing is what a 4.7 dakota can tow....
Thanks
Ed
Oops, i looked again and its 5550lbs haha

Yeah I just looked yours up based on my best guess of your configuration. With 20" wheels, you can tow 6400 lbs. My guess is that if you had the HEMI you would be much closer to that 9100lb. http://www-5.dodge.com/vehsuite/TowingGuide.jsp
