squeak squeak squeak goes the tranny
i am hearing a funny squeaking noise coming from under my 03 dually whe i take off from a stop.
i have the 5.9 cummins HO w/ 6 speed manual
in trying to diagnose the problem:
in first with clutch engaged and riding the break i hear squeak squeak squeak that seems to follow the engine speed more so than vehicle speed
taking off in 2nd sounds almost a little slower in frequency than in 1st.
it seems to be independant of 4L 2H 4H
no squeak at all when the clutch is pushed in...only when clutch is engaged
suggestions please

Mine does the same thing. I have an 06 1500 and it squeaks when I back up slowly or go forward. Haven't bothered looking for the problem as it has been 6 months since it started and nothing bad happened yet.
