Default Anyone have the Transgo Shift Kit?

Hi all. First off, let me introduce myself since I'm new here. I just bought an '05 Ram 1500 SLT4x4 with the Hemi. I absolutely love it! Got a heck of a deal, at least I think. It's only got 37K miles on it, was super clean, and I got it for $13,500.

Anyways, I've searched the forum and seen a few discussions about the Transgo shift kit for the 5 speed auto, and I have a few questions.

Who here actually has it installed, or has been in a truck that had one? Reason I ask is, I've seen mixed reviews on the Transgo vs just using the resistor mod, or installing a chip to boost line pressure.

I previously owned a '00 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 w/5spd automatic tranny in it, and installed the Transgo kit in that. The Transgo kit in that truck was absolutely awesome. Really firmed up the shifts, as well as increased responsiveness from the transmission.

I wanted to know if the Transgo kit does the same for the Dodge 5spd auto.

Any input is appreciated, as I'm really thinking about putting that kit in my truck.

Thanks!

Matt

Just passing on an update. I've installed the 45RFE-HD2 kit in my truck and noticed a mild improvement. I wouldn't say it was mind blowing, but none-the-less, still substantial. It shifts quicker, although not always a firm neck-breaking type shift. Overall I'd say it was an improvement. If you're due for a tranny fluid change I would recommend this, especially for only the $70 it will set you back.
