brakes pads choices and opinions
I was wondering what everyone who has done their brakes on their ram used. I am looking at getting EBC Brakes DP61638 for the front and these EBC Brakes DP61639for the rear at:

no need for mopar pads or anything cool in my opinion. go to autozone, get the duralast pads with the lifetime warranty...they're like $45.
lifetime pads > any other pads.
so, when u wanna replace pads, you gte new ones. i have lifetime warranted ceramics on my maxima, and after every winter, i just get new ones. doesn't cost anything. as the lifetime warranted ones on my truck are actually regular ole semi-metallics. i threw them in when i painted my calipers. after putting calipers/pads back on, neighbor helped me bleed brakes, and my brakes are as tight as **** now.

I have a set of Hawk pads in my garage I'm planning to put on next time. I've heard really good things about them. Right now I have a set of Raybestos. They seem okay. I had a set before and they didn't seem to last long and I can't say I was crazy about them. These were a lot more expensive so I guess I higher model up. I only put them on as I had to have some brake pads and Summit sent me the wrong part then instead of overnighting me a set of the right ones accidentally sent in ground instead of overnight so I had to go get some from the local parts store.
I ran a set of Mopar pads and they actually weren't that bad. I paid less than I did for the Raybestos ones. I liked them but they started cracking which is why they got replaced.
I believe in spending a little extra on brakes as I like to know I have quality brakes on my truck.

i have found i dont really like the mopar brake pads as well.. lol i have had a few jeeps and never really like them. that why i was looking at something that i thought would be better. I have the autozone ones on my current lifted wrangler but they wear fast and i dont want to be changin pads once a year even if they are free lol.. i guess i ll have to wait and see what others say. but thanks for your opinions and thoughts thus far..
We are not talking performance cars here so almost any pad will be fine. The stock pads are low performance and they did fine. I would recommend getting ceramic pads though. This willreduce the dust you see on your wheels. I put a set on the front of my Hemi when I put my new wheels on.
