need some more help
Just noticed this today, when i accelerate i can hear some kind of ticking noise and it seems to be coming from the rear of the truck and it only happens when i accelerate as soon as i let off the gas i can't hear in anymore.
possibly something in your muffler, or if you have stock exahst maybe a resonator. i know on my truck my resonator had some of the charcoal break off inside and it would rattle. cut it out and it was fine. now i have the same problem with 1 of my cats. so im gonna have to cut it out and ive decided to replace it with a hi flow.
HOW MANY MILES DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR TRUCK? RECENTLY I HEARD A TICKING SOUND WHEN I WOULD TAKE OFF AND I HAD TO REPLACE MY U JOINTS AND ONLY HAVE 40,000 MILES ON MY TRUCK

I have pretty much the same truck. Mine is a 2003, though. I have the limited slip differential and I had a noise coming from that rear, too. It turned out to me the differential. Have you noticed a drop in gas mileage? Change the differential fluid and look for chunks of metal in there.
