My Edge Evolution Has Arrived!
Well, the UPS dropped my programmer off about an hour ago, just got done updating it. I'm stuck in the office until 5pm [:@] so I'll have to wait to program the truck.
$399 with next day air shipping at autoanything.com for anyone wanting to know where I got it, ordered it at 7pm yesterday, and they had it in the mail in time to reach me today.
My first reaction to the unit was the size. This thing is TINY compared to the Superchips programmer. Really light, and I'm digging the dash pod. I hope everything goes well, I've read some stories on here that's got me a little leary, but I called a tech at Edge and was told that all of the programming issues have been since taken care of with the updates, and that I have the lastest version out (12) so I shouldn't have a problem.
I have 3/4 of a tank of 87 octane in my tank right now, so I'm stuck with using the Economy mode until I burn through that, I'll give you guys my review later tonight...

you are gonna burn through that 3/4 tank so damn fast!!
yea, first thing that got me bout the superchips is that it is way too big. It can be 1/4 of that size.

Well all went well. Programmed the truck into economy mode. Definantly noticed staying in MDS a lot longer. I've got a little road trip today, so I'll do a little mileage test (based on the overhead). Hopefully I'll get through the rest of this 87, then we can throw her in extreme... I love the extra gauges this thing gives you... I'm definantly happy with choosing the Edge, if not just for the economy mode and gauges so far...
I wondered the same thing about the 06 but have not seen an answer yet!

No they only have a programmer for the 07's 1500 Hemi's, nothing else...
Ok, just got back from 180 mile round trip, Reset my overhead (yes, I know a lot of people's overheads are off, but mine's normally within .2 of actual) On the way there, in economy, cruise set at 64, pretty hilly, MPG was at 19.1... Same trip last week was 17.3 according to the overhead, that was exciting to see. Filled the truck up and my tank average was a little better than normal, programmed in the Extreme, reset the overhead and headed back home. Of course there was some shot gun starts in there, plus a couple of Semi's I had to pass on the way home, cruise set again at 64, and when I got home the overhead read 18.3, still better than stock even with my jack rabbit starts, and pedal planted passes.
The extreme is nice, once I got home, I attempted to do a 0-60 run, however it's hard to keep the wheels from breaking loose. Finally did a slow starting run then planted the pedal to get a 7.09 second run. I did 1 run in the economy mode yesterday at 8.2 seconds.
1-2 Shift at WOT (Extreme) is nice and firm, 2-3 is a little sluggish though compared to the Superchips Performance program. MDS in the extreme setting is annoying on a long trip though. Any touch of the gas and it jumps back into 8 cylinders, however I plan to program it into economy from now on when I have a long drive ahead of me.
A couple things I miss from my Superchips, adjustable shift points, and the 1/8th mile run. However the addition of the gauges more than make up for those downfalls. Also for other guys thinking about getting this programmer, you can not adjust tire height (Speedo calibration) or adjust your top speed.
For someone like me, this programmer is going to do just fine... So far I don't have anything bad to say about it, and it has done the job of replacing my Superchips... Only thing I'm curious to see is the towing mode, which will be Monday when I get to test that out...
This is something I had a hard time finding before I bought mine, pictures of the pod installed:
