Default 07 4X4 tire?rim size & backspacing

Hi all, newby to this site here. I own an 07 1500 Ram QC 4X4 with the 4.7 and 17x8 inch wheels with the stock 245 70 R17's. Recently I added the readylift 2 1/2 inch leveling kit.I am interested in adding a set of 35x12.50's. From previous posts which I can't track down I saw that I couldn't fit that size tire on my stock rims on an 07' because of backspacing or offset. ?Confused? however I am starting to understand as behind the wheel the top of the strut mount/control arm or something along those lines is only about an inch from the inside of the tire. I can see that there is no way a wider tire would fit on the truck with current rim.
thereforeI am thinking of going to a 17x9.50 rims to accomodate the larger tires. What would be the required backspacing and or offset for that tire/wheel combination to fit my truck? I understand that the 07/06's are different in that regard then the 05 and earlier models.
Thanks
