Anybody out there have an 06 ram 1500 megacab? i've had dodges for years and just bought a used megacab. Question i have is, what fron end is in it, my has a solid front axle, and i swear it rides like a 2500. i had an 03 1500 that rode like a caddy. let me know if this is normal or was it a goof up at the plant were it was built. exactly. thats why they have the solid front axle, not IFS and the 8 lug bolt pattern. but ya, its on the 2500 platform. but since we're talking about this...what is the difference between the 1500 and 2500 mega cab? other than the 1500 only has a hemi and you can get a diesel in the 2500?

 

i wondered the exact same thing after i posted. if it's got the 2500 frame, and ramsport is feeling the 2500 suspension, then what is the difference?? 2500 comes stock with hemi anyway. gearing is probably the same, maybe the 2500 has 4.10. maybe its the same thing rebadged so it appeals to that market?
