my lamp out light came on today checked all my lights turn signals and everything works any idea whats going on

 

you can try a guage sweep maybe itll help....just hold down the trip reset button on the dash b4 you turn ur key to on, then turn it on and it should do a full sweep, and turn on all the lamps in the dash....possibly one of those are out maybe?

 

Funny you ask..mine did the same thing tonight...Did it 6 months ago. Once I restarted the truck, it didnt do it again till now.

 

dont forget to check the license plate illuminators

 

you have HID's dont you? do you guys think the HIDs could be affecting this in anyway?

 

don't forget the brakes. rear lamps are double filament (unless you changed them out)

 

its been doing this off an on for a while now just flickers on and off and beeps drives me crazy it will not come on for awhile then just last night its flickered on and off now just staying on i looked at all my turn signals work just fine. i didnt have any bulbs in the license plate sockets so i put some in there and still seas lamp out

 

Mine only does it every now and then. Once I turn the truck off and come back to it its fine. POS Dodge!! Stock lighting, no lamps out.

 

Allright, not trying to sound harsh, but it sounds like you have not researched your problem at all. I have replyed to multiple post like this. If all your lights work and all your fuses are good than 99% of the time the light bar has failed. The reason the lights work is because the light bar hasa short. Take off your rear light lens and you will see a gray light bar that houses the lightbulbs. There is no way to tell which is bad. usually for some reason the drivers side goes bad first. A new one at the dealer cost $26. Put it on yourself. Its only a few screws. This is a common problem on 3rd gen Rams. Nothing serious the ding just gets really annoying!

 

yeah i had that bar thing out once when i put those aftermarket taillights in it i came torealize everytime i hit a good bump in the road it will flicker and ding then go away for a few min then the light comes back on
