if you can pull it off you can upgrade to the cummins in a 2500. I know it might be a big step, and you also might ask yourself why do I need a 3/4 ton truck. all you have to do is drive it once and you'll find out why.

I kept up with a hemi powered 1500 the other day and actualy edged him out from the 50-80 area. I backed off at 80 though, dont like taking my truck over 70. modding the engine is easier than the gassers. and when you do mod the engine the gains are VERY impressive and infact some of the mods that can be done not only give you more power, but also better fuel economy.

one of the guys I ran into while I was at Geno's that works for TDR (Turbo Diesel Register) has an 02 cummins and has cranked the power from 305-555 to somewhere in the neighborhood of 450hp and nearly 800 lb-ft of torque. some of the earlier 24valve engines and many of the 12valve engines have been bombed to over 700hp.

The cummins is just Badass. I spanked a few hinies myself. even with the quad cab and long bed that thing was an animal right off the dealer lot. after the six gun it was ummm, well youd have to feel it to believe it. Ever heard of the classic 100 dollar bill on the dash bet?

Can't find anything for the 4.7?????

4.56 gears
Dual Exhaust
Air Intake (Air Ram)
Air Scoop
Fastman TB 68MM (or SQC TB 68 MM)
Electric Fan
Pulley
Chip
KRC 206 cams

All of that will allow you to spank a stock QC Hemi, not that that is your goal. There are some good threads on other Dodge sites that discuss this.

Personally, I am waiting for the 206 cams (35hp and 50 torque on top of what I already have). All my mods have run me about $1100 and I am about a truck length behind a stock Hemi upto 60 mph. I let off because I am old and a law abiding citizen most of the time.
