Default CHAnGE OIL indicator

I know it was asked but I dont think its been answered. Im only 1500mi into an oil change but the change oil indicator started going on. Why would it do that? Do I have to reset something when I change the oil so it knows when I did it?

With the ignition switch on and the engine not running, with all doors closed, press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times within 10 secs, turn the switch off. This should reset it....
