Default Yep Sorry Another Tire Question..Newbie.?

Just got a 06 Mega-Cab 4x4 1500, ready to ditch the oem,265's 70 17's,, long range plan for the truck is to go for the off-road look, instead of the urban look with the 20's and 22's, 24's..
So as far as the 17's go,, what is the maxx size i can comfortably run, with-out any suspension or body lifts ? I've seen 315's 305's, 295's,, oh and i want a A/T or M/T tire.. i do occasional beach driving in NJ....

Well if you want to remain stock then the biggest tire that you can fit, without rubbing, would be a 33x12.5x17. Right now I am running 285x70x17 (33x11.5) on my truck and it looks decent but I want to go alot bigger. If you want a cheap and effective way to clear 35x12.5's then look into leveling kits. They remain the stock ride but raise the front of the truck up 2.5in's so that it does not have that nose down appearance. As for me I am looking to put 36x15.5's or 37x13.5's on my truck in the future. But if you put 35's on then it would be a good idea to think about going with 4.56 gears as well so that you will gain back the power that you lose when putting on the bigger meats. If I was you I would look into Top guns customz custom suspension lift. They make a good 2.5in torsion key leveling lift for the 06-08 trucks that would allow you to run the 35's and it is pretty cheap. But if you dont want to do that then getting 33x12.5's would be the best way to go to give your truck that full wheel well appearance.
