02 Ram 1500 2WD. AC was working fine up until this year. I did have the condensor fan fixed witht he recall that caused fuses to blow in the winter time. Problem is it will get cold for the 1st 20-30 minutes then go warm for the next 20-30 minutes. I had the System checked , vacuumed down and recharged but still have the same problem. So what is causing the compressor clutch to dis-engage for such a long period of time?

 

Any AC experts out there today or any that have seen the same problem?

 

Sorry to hear about your dilemma..especially at this time of the year. The only thing i can tell you is this. Dodge does not stand by their product, so don't look to them for any assistance. There are some on here who will say, "Hey your truck is a 02 if the AC goes out, so what" Believe me, I AM NOT ONE OF THEM...Surely your AC should last longer than 6 years...But again, there are some on here who will say, that after 6 years, you should have to repair/replace anything that goes wrong on your 6 year old vehicle.
