Default another tire question

Does anyone know of a knobby/ mean looking tire that will not raise the overall height of my truck? I have stock 20's on it and will be replacing them soon and I want a mean looking tire to replace the stock. But I can not raise the overall height do to the parking garage I park in being 6'9". I think right now I have about 3 in of clearance when I am in the garage. Any tire suggestions?

If you have the stock 275/60R20 tires then they are a 33" tire! Look at www.4wheelparts.com and do a tire search for 33x12.5R20 tires and you will be able to get a good idea what they have!

My personal favorite mud terrain tire is the Mickey Thompson MTZ. Very aggressive looking yet fairly quiet on pavement and last forever despite the big knobby blocks. It should be available in a 33x12.5x20...

If road noise, pavement handling and fast wear don't matter to you then the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws or Nitto Mud Grapplers are very mean looking tires IMO. You'll give up a little handling, they'll howl on pavement and won't last as long as the MTZs, but they are both very impressive off-road tires...

Cool thanks guys, I did not know that the stock tire was the same as 33x12.5r20. I was thinking that it was 2 totally different size and all. So the knobbiness would not increase the height then correct?? I was thinking the ***** would increase the height so it is good to know that it does not.

33x12.5 is wider then your stock tires! It will look beefier, but will not raise the overall height!
The overall size of the tire "33inch" is with the tread! Weather the tread is mud terrain or all terrain!
Each manufacturer might very a little and make it 33.1", or 33.6" but overall you have nothing to worry about! If you go with a 4" taller tire your truck will only gain about 2".
