Does anyone here with an 02 1500 have tow hooks? I've read on a few places that ones the dealer has doesnt fit with the hole on the frame. The 01 or 03 models dont work either. It said the 03 2500 hooks lined up, but need some tweaking. Ideas? Thanks

 

i have an 02 1500 and i just put on some tow hooks off a 03 1500 and the holes didnt line up at all, i just drilled a few new holes and installed i. the frame has a few indents on it and they lined up perfectly with the tow hooks. not sure if thats what they were meant for but thats what i did.

 

****, factory tow hooks to expensive! I fabricated my own... very easy if you have some fab skills!

 

I drilled a couple of holes through each side of my winch mount and mounted a couple of grade 8 U-bolts through them, welding them to the mount, bolt and all. Then I attached a couple of big, beefy clevis' to the U-bolts.

You could do the same thing but to the frame of the truck quite easily...
